A Crew Chief with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) looks out the back of a CH-47 Chinook helicopter during the U.S. Army Forces Command Best Squad Competition, Aug. 13, 2023, at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Cold load training allows Soldiers to enter and exit a helicopter while it is not in operation, while hot load training allows Soldiers to enter and exit the helicopter during a live-run. The Best Squad Competition allows Soldiers to exercise leadership, build morale within their team, and use tactical and combat skills all while challenging themselves against the best that U.S. Army Forces Command has to offer.
