U.S. Marine Corps 1st Sgt. Isidro Cobos, the senior enlisted advisor for the 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion detachment, Battalion Landing Team 2/1, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, addresses Marines on leadership during Corporal’s Course in Sydney, Australia, Aug. 9, 2023. Marines enrolled in the course honed their leadership skills while learning the responsibilities of non-commissioned officers. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
