An FA-18D Hornet aircraft makes an arrested landing at West Field here Dec. 7 during Exercise Forager Fury 2012. The expeditionary arresting gear was set up by expeditionary airfield technicians with Marine Wing Support Squadron 171, Marine Aircraft Group 12, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force. The aircraft is with Marine All Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 224, which is currently under the Unit Deployment Program with MAG- 12, 1st MAW, III MEF. Forager Fury is a training exercise that integrates Marine Air-Ground Task Force functions with emphasis on tactical aviation and aviation ground support to further develop distributed, expeditionary airfield capabilities.
