Recently confirmed U.S. Ambassadors and State Department officials meet with senior National Guard leaders to discuss the State Partnership Program, or SPP, at the Herbert R. Temple Army National Guard Readiness Center, Arlington Hall Station, Virginia, Aug. 14. The SPP, a Defense Department program, pairs Guard elements with partner nations worldwide, improving interoperability and enhancing readiness of U.S. and partner forces worldwide. The ambassadors in attendance represented embassies of countries that are part of the SPP, which is now in its 30th year – boasting 88 partnerships with 100 countries.
