A Soldier assigned to the 1st Armored Division Headquarters assembles poles to prop up the camouflage netting Aug. 11, 2023 at Fort Bliss, Texas. America’s Tank Division conducted deliberate training progression to certify Table II proficiency in command post operations by conducting Staff Academics and Command Post Exercise level 0 from Aug. 7-11, 2023. Certification prepares for the follow-on iterative series of CPX I through three culminating with the division’s NTC 24-03 rotation in the spring of 2024. It is critical for the division staff to plan and maintain the right posture and tempo during operations to ensure 1st Armored Division remains a strong power projection platform. During this week, HHBN and 1AD Headquarters identified resource shortfalls, captured lessons learned for TACSOP refinement, and identified future training objectives. This event provides familiarization for the division staff, enabling synchronization between staff sections who are certified and ready for CPX 1.
