Biscayne Bay coastal wetlands provide lifecycle habitat – nurseries, nesting, shelter, and foraging
opportunities – for a variety of fish and wildlife, including those threatened and endangered, as well as many sport and commercially-important estuarine species.
As a result of the BBCW Project, improved deliveries of freshwater flows to Biscayne Bay will achieve
more natural seasonal hydration and salinity levels across Biscayne Bay coastal habitat.
