Soldiers competing in the U.S. Army Forces Command Best Squad Competition, are briefed on the Expert Physical Fitness Assessment Aug 17, 2023 on Fort Campbell, Kentucky. The EPFA is a combat-focused physical assessment and is conducted in the Army Combat Uniform, boots, “slick” body armor with plates and helmet. Teams competing are required to use fundamental Soldier skills including land navigation, weapons qualification, and physical fitness.
