Spc. Evan Skaug, from Nampa, Idaho, representing the U.S. Army Central best squad was awarded a Meritorious Service Medal by U.S. Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) Command Sgt. Maj. Todd Sims in the FORSCOM Best Squad Competition and named the FORSCOM Soldier of the Year, on Aug. 18, 2023, at Valor Hall on Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
