Rear Admiral Eric Ruttenberg, U.S. Pacific Fleet Reserves, director of maritime operations, presents a folded flag to a family member during an interment ceremony of U.S. Navy Warrant Officer Machinist Daryl Goggin held at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Hawaii, August 18, 2023. The DPAA and attending family members paid their respects and honored the life of Goggin, who was assigned to the USS Oklahoma when the ship was attacked by Japanese aircraft during World War II. The USS Oklahoma sustained multiple torpedo hits, which caused it to quickly capsize. Goggin was accounted for on September 25, 2015. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Ariel Owings)
