U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Healy (WAGB 20) crew members lower a wreath into the water during a memorial service to remember two divers who lost their lives in 2006 during a dive operation off of Healy, August 18, 2023. As a result of the accident, Coast Guard leadership identified gaps in training and technology and made a number of changes to the dive program, including establishing a new dive rating, before reintroducing cold water ice diving capabilities to the Healy.
