(Left) U.S. Army 1st Lt. Patrick Fyvie, a fires platoon leader, and 1st Lt. Isabella Galyk, the battalion liaison officer, both assigned to 3rd Battalion, 27th Field Artillery Regiment, supporting 4th Infantry Division, speak with locals about their time in Estonia, their service in the U.S. Army, and their training with the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) during an Estonian Restoration of Independence Day celebration in Parnu, Estonia, Aug. 20. The celebration marks the restoration of Estonian independence following the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, and the static display provided locals with the opportunity to interact with U.S. Army and Estonian Defense League Soldiers and learn about their collaboration and readiness. The 4th Inf. Div.'s mission in Europe is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent, working alongside NATO allies and regional security partners to provide combat-credible forces to V Corps, America’s forward deployed corps in Europe.
