    U.S. Marines gather trash on Kin Sunrise Beach, Okinawa, Japan, Aug. 17, 2023. Marines across several units aboard Okinawa assisted with typhoon recovery efforts on Kin Sunrise Beach, which was flooded with sand and debris. Typhoon Khanun moved through Okinawa as a category 4 storm, bringing strong winds, heavy rain and high seas, marking one of the strongest storms to affect the island in recent years.
