U.S. Marines with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, hand supplies down during a replenishment at sea in the Philippian Sea, Aug. 21, 2023. The RAS was conducted to replenish fuel, food, and supplies for the Marines and sailors onboard the USS America. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of USS America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
