U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Phillip Andes, 39th Maintenance Squadron Boeing C-17 Globemaster III aircraft non-commissioned officer in charge, executes the proper documentation and scheduling of aircraft resources to reflect maintenance requirements during a simulated exercise at Incirlik Air Base, Türkiye, Aug. 22, 2023. The Maintenance Supervision and Production course simulated tanker aircraft operations being affected, requiring resources to be shifted to support scheduling maintenance, documenting aircraft statuses, and coordinating with higher headquarters and control agencies to maintain flight operations. The course was introduced for the first time at Incirlik, saving around $110,000 compared to sending the Airmen to another location to complete it there.
