Gulls take flight from ponds just off the end of Dover Air Force Base’s runway 01 after being startled by Wildlife Management Officer Melody Henderson Dec. 3, 2012. Wildlife has the potential to affect safe ground and air operations at Dover Air Force Base, Del. and the base has an active wildlife management program in place to reduce the dangers.
