Members of the Fort Meade Community Covenant Council listen to remarks during the 2023 Community Covenant Signing. On Aug. 24, members of the Fort George G. Meade Community Covenant Council came together at Smallwood Hall for the Community Covenant Signing and to celebrate the installation’s recent recognition as a 2023 Great American Defense Community.
This year’s covenant was signed by 39 representatives from organizations and office’s across the Fort Meade community including, but are not limited to: Military District of Washington, Installation Management Command – Sustainment, Fort George G. Meade, U.S. Cyber Command, National Security Agency, State of Maryland Governor Wes Moore, United States Maryland Senator Benjamin Cardin, United States Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen, United States Maryland Congressman Steny Hoyer, United States Maryland Congressman John Sarbanes, United States Maryland Congressman C.A.
