Schuyler Miller, a meteorology and oceanography analyst forecaster assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, uses water and plastic bottles to show a father and daughter how the vortex forms in a tornado during the 12th annual Eastern Carolina Aviation Heritage Foundation Family Fly-In Movie and STEM Night at the Havelock Tourist and Event Center, Havelock, North Carolina, Aug. 18, 2023. MCAS Cherry Point units and personnel supported the event with advanced machinery, robots, flight gear and other equipment to provide hands-on experiences and interactive activities for local youth and families to encourage study and careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
