    KITTERY, ME. Aug. 31, 2023, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard: USS North Dakota (SSN 784) change of command ceremony was held at the shipyard where Cmdr. Robert Edmonson was relieved by Cmdr. Towney Kennard as Commanding Officer, North Dakota. Presiding over the ceremony was Commander, Submarine Squadron Two, Capt. Daniel Reiss.
