Super Garuda Shield 2023 (SGS23) is an annual exercise that has significantly grown in scope and size since 2009. SGS23 is the second consecutive time this exercise has grown into a combined and joint event, highlighting the six participating and 12 observing nations’ commitment to partnership and a free and open Indo-Pacific. Green Bay is operating in the 7th Fleet area of operations. U.S. 7th Fleet is the U.S. Navy’s largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, and routinely interacts and operates with allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
