QUEENS, NY (Sept. 2, 2023) Retired Capt. JoEllen Oslund shakes hands with Marie Bouzkova prior to tossing a coin to determine which player will serve first at the US Women's Open. The United States Tennis Association hosted Rear Adm. Shoshana Chatfield, retired Capt. JoEllen Oslund, Lt. Julia Baily and Lt. Audrey Mackovjak as well as veteran’s from the Army and Marines at the 12th Annual Lt. Joe Hunt Military Appreciation Day and to commemorate 50 years of women in naval aviation.
