VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Sept. 7, 2023) - Vice Adm. Jim Kilby, commander, Task Force 80 and deputy commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command recognizes Engineman 1st Class Alexander Michiels, Electronics Technician 1st Class James Brooks, Quartermaster 3rd Class Zachary Erskine and Master at Arms 1st Class Ryan Lynch from Navy Expeditionary Combat Command's Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadrons (MSRON) 2, 4 and 10 onboard Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek Fort Story. During his visit, Kilby recognized four outstanding Sailors and rode in MSRON's new 40-foot patrol boat. The Maritime Expeditionary Security Force uses security boats to deploy globally and operate throughout the sea-to-shore and inland operating environment protecting maritime infrastructure, providing insertion and extraction capabilities and supporting Fleet assets enabling maritime operations.
