Soldiers of the XVIII Airborne Corps stand as color guard during the interment ceremony for retired Gen. James J. Lindsay at the Fort Liberty Main Post Cemetery, Fort Liberty, N.C., Sept. 9, 2023. Several services were held in honor of Lindsay on Fort Liberty beginning with a funeral mass at Fort Liberty’s Main Post Chapel and interment at the Fort Liberty Main Post Cemetery.
