Construction crews are moving dirt and laying the infrastructure for three softball fields, a youth baseball field, an outdoor swimming pool, a playground, and a splash park as part of the rebuild at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida. The complex will also include a pump house, concessions, lockers, and restrooms. The $38.2 million Morale, Welfare and Recreation project replaces the installation’s previous recreation complex, which was destroyed during Hurricane Michael in 2018.
