David Stephens, 419th Civil Engineer Squadron explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) technician assigned to Hill Air Force Base, Utah, operates a Man Transportable Robot System Increment II (MTSR II) during the annual Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Rodeo exercise at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, Aug. 17, 2023. Even with its electronic countermeasure abilities as it disables devices, the MTRS II is able to maintain seamless connectivity with its pilot, who controls the robot remotely with help from an on-board camera.
