U. S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Adonis Niblett and U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. William Boyce, both fire team leaders with the 30th Security Forces Squadron, pause briefly before positioning their teams during a patrol in an expeditionary exercise on Aug. 25, 2023, at Vandenberg Space Force Base, Calif. Over the last few months, the 30th Security Forces Squadron has diligently prepared its Defenders for the newly revamped Air Force Generation (AFFORGEN) deployment model. AFFORGEN replaces the Air Expeditionary Force deployment model and ensures a sustainable force offering of Airmen and airpower to the Joint Force. Throughout June and July, the squadron completed more than 30 expeditionary tasks that preparing them for six independent exercises in August, during which members of every section within the squadron participated in base defense and dismounted operations.
