Former U.S. Army Reserve Capt. Herbert Thornbury, a Vietnam War veteran and lifelong friend of Medal of Honor recipient former U.S. Army Capt. Larry L. Taylor visits the Medal of Honor Garden, where Taylor’s name was recently unveiled at the National Museum of the U.S. Army on Fort Belvoir, Va., Sept. 6, 2023. Taylor’s name is permanently engraved in granite to identify and honor him as one of the recipients of the nation’s highest award for valor.
