U.S. Navy Sailors aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD-20) shoot the shot line to the dry cargo ship USNS Wally Schirra (T-AKE-8) during a replenishment at sea, in the Philippine Sea, Sept. 18, 2023. U.S. Marines and U.S. Navy Sailors conducted a RAS to refuel and receive important ship cargo. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
