A platoon of Marines with 8th Engineer Support Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group conducts a route reconnaissance during their dismounted patrol training aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., Dec. 13, 2012. The platoon stopped to survey terrain features during the patrol, which was designed to prepare the engineers for future operations with infantry units.
