U.S. Army Cpl. Hank Watkins, a CH-47 Chinook crew chief with the 1-169th Aviation, monitors the Bambi Water Bucket System as it releases 2,000 gallons of water over the Elizabeth fire in Alexandria, LA, Sept. 1, 2023. The pilots and flight crew utilize teamwork to safely and effectively pick up and release water for fire suppression. The operator utilizes a controller that enables the bucket to open and fill with water then close shut before opening again to release water when necessary. (U.S. Army photo by Spc. Carlos Parra)
