Cmdr. Adrian Laney, officer in charge of Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD)’s White Sands Detachment, talks to a group of visitors from Port Hueneme outside of the J.W. Cox Range Control Center at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) in New Mexico on May 24. Along with his role leading the NSWC PHD detachment, Laney serves as the Navy deputy to the range’s senior commander, Army Brig. Gen. Eric Little. The Air Force and Space Force are also tenants on the range. “The services work together closely on WSMR — as a team,” Laney said. (U.S. Navy photo by Eric Parsons/Released)
