PUGET SOUND, Wash. (Sep. 20, 2023) The Los Angeles-class attack submarine USS San Juan (SSN 751), transits the Puget Sound, Sept. 20, 2023. San Juan, after 35 years of service, is scheduled for decommissioning and deactivation at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility at Bremerton, Washington. San Juan participated in its final exercise, Canadian-led Operation Nanook 2023, having transited from the East Coast to the West Coast through the Northwest Passage as part of the exercise.
