Sgt. 1st Class Skylar Davis’s wife Raelynn Davis records his reenlistment by Lt. Mathieu Sanders during the 497th Multi-Role Bridge Company, 92nd Engineer Battalion’s Sept. 21 wet-gap crossing exercise on Pineview Lake in Fort Stewart’s training area. The engineers constructed barges to move an M1A2 SEPv3 Abrams main battle tank, an Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle, and a Bradley infantry fighting vehicle from the 3rd Infantry Division across the lake. Moving heavy equipment across a water obstacle is a critical task for the unit because it validates the Army’s maneuvers capabilities and ability to close with and destroy an enemy.
