Students from the North Country School Districts surrounding Fort Drum were presented an Army Public Affairs demonstration from the 27th Public Affairs Detachment, 10th Mountain Division, as part of the STARBASE science, technology, engineering and mathematics education curriculum geared toward 5th grade students on September 22, 2023, on Fort Drum, NY. STARBASE is a DoD-funded program that provides supplemental hands-on STEM education to an installation’s surrounding area school districts. STARBASE support includes community engagement events where our Soldiers interact with elementary students, influencers, and organizations invited to the installation.
