U.S. Air National Guard Airman Danelle Pagilinan, a forklift operator assigned to the 146th Air Transportation Function, Staff Sgt. Jose Chavez, a Contingency Response Air Transportation craftsman assigned to the 146th Contingency Response Flight, and Tech. Sgt. Arcadio Acevedo, a Weather Technician assigned to the 146th Operations Support Squadron, unpack a pallet containing gear and supplies utilized for the Crisis Beach II exercise at Schoonover Airfield, Fort Hunter Liggett, California, Sept. 9, 2023. Crisis Beach II was a multi-day exercise to evaluate the 146th Airlift Wing's ability to deploy, adapt, and survive in a contested environment. Airmen participating implemented many skill sets shared from other career fields to demonstrate their ability to execute the Agile Combat Employment (ACE) model, highlighting their proactive and reactive operational strategies under simulated threat timelines in order to increase survivability while generating combat power.
