Lance Cpl. Martina R. Spravka connects a fiber-optic cable to an AN/MRQ-12(v4) communications interface system in preparation for Exercise Ryukyu Warrior at Camp Foster Dec. 4. The cable allows the communications systems assets to be used by the aviation combat element commander, imparting the ability to command, coordinate and control all air operations within an assigned sector. Spravka is an aviations communications systems technician with Marine Tactical Air Command Squadron 18, Marine Air Control Group 18, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
