U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 613th Movement Control Team take a photograph together following a transfer of authority ceremony relinquishing responsibility for their deployed mission at Forward Operating Site Zagan, Poland, Sept. 23, 2023. Relieved of their mission by the 620th MCT, both active-duty Army movement control teams are among a multi-compositional array of units within 3rd Division Sustainment Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division working alongside NATO allies and regional security partners to provide combat-credible forces to V Corps, America's forward deployed corps in Europe. Capt. Ajay Charles and Sgt. 1st Class Eric Pettengill, command team of the 613th MCT, cased their unit’s guidon and Capt. Mason B. Marshall and Sgt. 1st Class Paola G. Mejia Vazquez, the 620th MCT command team, uncased theirs, symbolically demonstrating the formal transfer of responsibility for the mission from one to another. Lt. Col Eric Waage, commander of the 436th MCB, congratulated the outgoing team for their accomplishment of a challenging mission and welcomed the incoming team as the host and reviewing officer of the ceremony. The 613th MCT is based in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, as part of the 101st Airborne Division and the 620th MCT deployed from Fort Drum, New York, as part of the 10th Mountain Division.
