    Philippine Air Force Brig. Gen. Andre P. Tanyag, left, presents Col. Mark J. Menotti Armed Forces of the Philippines Disaster Relief and Rehabilitation Ribbons Dec. 17 at Villamor Air Base in Manila, Republic of the Philippines. The ribbon was awarded to all U.S. service members who took part in humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations in the wake of Typhoon Bopha. Tanyag is the assistant deputy chief of staff, J-3, operations, General Headquarters, Armed Forces of the Philippines. Menotti is the assistant chief of staff, G-4, supply and logistics, 3rd Marine Expeditionary Brigade, III Marine Expeditionary Force, and served as the officer in charge of the III MEF Forward Command Element, which provided coordination and command and control for U.S. Marine Corps support to Philippine-led relief efforts.
