PHILIPPINE SEA (Sept. 22, 2023) – Seaman Brandon Lopezdelarosa, from Rex, Georgia, verifies the removal of aircraft grounding chains on the flight deck aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105) before the lift off of an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 37 (HSM-37) while operating in the Philippine Sea, Sept. 22. Dewey is assigned to Commander, Task Force 71/Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest forward-deployed DESRON and the U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.
