Gabriel Gerhard, a maintenance mechanic with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District helps bring a boat to shore during National Public Lands Day on Loyalhanna Lake in Saltsburg, Pennsylvania. Ryan Smith, a park ranger for the reservoir, piloted the boat to transport volunteers to designated clean-up sites around the lake, Sept. 23, 2023. The Pittsburgh District celebrates National Public Lands Day each year by inviting the community to help clean up and complete improvement projects at its various reservoirs.
