Leaders from Geary County Schools USD 475, Fort Riley and the Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation cut the ribbon for Morris Hill Elementary School. The school opened in time for the start of the academic year. The official celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony took place Sept. 22 at 1:30 p.m. Leaders from each entity in the partnership spoke about how the cooperation made the new school possible. Though open, there is still another construction phase to complete that will allow the school to enroll about 590 students.
