STENNIS SPACE CENTER, Miss. -- Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Energy, Installations, & Environment and Chief Sustainability Officer Meredith Berger poses with three female security force professionals from the Philippines at Naval Small Craft Instruction and Technical Training School (NAVSCIATTS) headquarters, located at the John C. Stennis Space Center in South Mississippi, Sept. 26.
Berger received a a tour of the command's facilities and took the opportunity to meet with students from Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Bangladesh, who recently graduated from Semester 23-5, which supported U.S. Indo-Pacific Command's theater security cooperation priorities.
NAVSCIATTS works in direct support of U.S. Special Operations Command's Women, Peace, and Security Program's efforts to emphasize the inclusion of women’s meaningful participation in special operations forces global campaign activities, and integration of gender perspectives into plans, policies, and security cooperation initiatives to achieve maximum operational effectiveness.
NAVSCIATTS is a security cooperation schoolhouse operating under U.S. Naval Special Warfare Command. The command trains and educates strategic allied and partner security force professionals across the tactical, operational, and strategic spectrums through in-residence and mobile training team courses of instruction. To date, almost 14,000 students from 125 partner nations have trained with the command. (U.S. Navy photo by Michael Williams).
