U.S. Marine Corps 2nd Lt. Immanuel Kim, left, and U.S. Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Patrick Velasquez render medical aid to a notional casualty during Force Design Integration Exercise on Dillingham Airfield, Hawaii, Sept. 27, 2023. Force Design Integration Exercise demonstrates the current capabilities of 3d Marine Littoral Regiment as an effective part of the Stand-in Force integrated with our Pacific Marines and Joint counterparts. Through the demonstration of Force Design 2030-enabled capabilities, 3d MLR showcases the implementation of technology, doctrine, and policy initiatives to allow the SiF to sense and make sense of potential adversaries, seize and hold key maritime terrain, and conduct reconnaissance and counter-reconnaissance. Kim, a native of Frisco, Texas, is an infantry platoon commander, and Velasquez, a native of Silver Spring, Md., is a hospital corpsman. Both are with 3d Littoral Combat Team, 3d MLR, 3d Marine Division. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt. Jacqueline C. Parsons)
