JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. – The U.S. Army 7th Transportation Brigade (Expeditionary) redesignated the LCU-2011 USAV Chicahominy to USAV Wilson Wharf at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Sept. 8, 2023. The Battle of Wilson Wharf was a battle in Union Lt. Gen. Ulysses S. Grant’s Overland Campaign against Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee’s Army of Northern Virginia, where Lee’s Army of Northern Virginia encountered in combat for the first time African-American troops from two regiments of the United States Colored Troops.
