New Hampshire and Salvadoran competitors dash to the starting line of the Gen. George Patton Match at the New Hampshire National Guard Combat Marksmanship Competition "TAG Match" on Sept. 8, 2023, at Fort Devens, Mass. Four-person squads armed with 51 rounds per shooter engaged six targets in the timed pistol event. Teams from Cabo Verde and El Salvador competed in the three-day match, an engagement facilitated by the State Partnership Program, a Department of Defense initiative that links state National Guards with foreign countries to facilitate civilian, government and military exchanges.
