U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Renatta Fears, a logistics specialist with Combat Logistics Battalion (CLB) 26, observes a CH-53K King Stallion, assigned to Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 461, as it performs an external heavy lift as part of Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) course 1-24 near Yuma, Arizona, Oct. 10, 2023. The WTI course is an advanced, graduate-level, seven-week course hosted by Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron (MAWTS) 1, which provides standardized advanced tactical training and certification of unit instructor qualifications, to support Marine aviation training and readiness and to assist in developing and employing aviation weapons and tactics. HMH-461 is a subordinate unit of 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, and CLB-26 is a subordinate unit of 2nd Marine Logistics Group, the aviation and logistics combat elements of II Marine Expeditionary Force.
