SAVANNAH, Ga.-- Various U.S. Air Force Aircraft sit on the ramp of the Air Dominance Center during the William Tell Air-to-Air Competition, Savannah, Georgia, Sept. 13, 2023. The William Tell Air-to-Air Competition began in 1954, when highly talented teams from units across the AF came together to test all aspects of air-to-air combat. The comitition ceased in 2004 due to real-world commitments and increased pace of operations. After 20 years the competition has resumed to reinvigorate Air Superiority competition and demonstrate the USAF’s lethal capabilities.(U.S. Air Force photo by Tech Sgt. Matthew Coleman-Foster)
