    231003-N-CD453-1108 SEA OF JAPAN (Oct. 3, 2023) Boatswain’s Mate Seaman Peyton Dills, from Selah, Washington, and Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Kenneth Custodio, from San Diego, untwist a span-wire aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS John Finn (DDG 113) during a replenishment-at-sea with the Henry J. Kaiser-class underway replenishment oiler USNS Tippecanoe (T-AO-199) while conducting operations in the Sea of Japan, Oct. 3. USNS Tippecanoe is assigned to Commander, Task Force (CTF) 73, which in coordination with Military Sealift Command Far East (MSC FE), refuels and resupplies deployed naval forces, along with regional allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific. John Finn is assigned to Commander, Task Force 71/Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest DESRON and U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.
