Alexandria Sovie break ground during the groundbreaking ceremony for a combat water survival training support facility at Camp Pendleton, California, Oct. 11, 2023. The facility will include two exterior training tanks with dive platforms and an underwater egress training system, to accommodate mandatory annual swim qualifications, water survival training and amphibious vehicle egress training for more than 8,000 Marines and Sailors operating within the 21 Area. Ramsey is the general facilities public works officer for Marine Corps Installations West, MCB Camp Pendleton; Sullivan is the commanding general of Training Command; Petit is the project manager for the Office in Charge of Construction (OICC), RQ Construction LLC; Venning is the commanding officer of Assault Amphibian School, Training Command; Sovie is the facilities engineering and acquisition division director for Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton.
