U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Emelda Evans, military police assigned to 709th Military Police Battalion, 18th MP Brigade, 21st Theater Sustainment Command, and a Bundeswehr military police officer conduct a convoy brief at Luftwaffen Kaserne in Koln-Wahn Oct. 23, 2023. Over the last four days, Bundeswehr and U.S. Army Soldiers prepared to conduct a capability demonstration for German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. The Bundeswehr Homeland Defence Command hosted the demonstration, which included multiple German military and civilian agencies, as well as U.S. Soldiers from the 21st TSC. This visit highlighted the major efforts that the host nation performs as well as sustainment efforts in support of Allied Forces flowing through Germany to NATO countries in the east for combat operations. It's about understanding "what everything has to fit together so that security in our country can be guaranteed," said Scholz.
