Col. James Burk, U.S. Army Forces Command surgeon, visits Fort Bliss October 18, 2023. During his visit, he toured the 1st Armored Division's Holistic Health and Fitness facilities and spoke to the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team and the 1st Armored Division Sustainment Brigade program directors, Ramon Cossio, Jason Zerbach, Dr. Douglas Briggs, Dr. Josh Eldrige, John Barela and Dan Galvez. They addressed specific concerns and shared best practices. His visit provided a model for other FORSCOM units implementing H2F programs. The lessons learned will be implemented to improve H2F programs and ensure that all soldiers have access to the resources and support they need to achieve their health and fitness goals.
